Another news story yesterday on ABC with Manny's doctors, showing the boy from Mexico getting his second ear: Thank you to my friend, Petrice, in Palo Alto for sharing!!
Thank you all for the kind notes with your donation checks. For example, we received one yesterday "My husband is a 1964 graduate of BDHS. He reads the online version of the Dailiy Citizen and were touched by Manny's story...We will keep Manny and his family in our prayers and ask our Lord to always hold you in the palm of His Hand. - Patricia, Randloph MA" Or, how about "BELIEVE in the wonderful things the Lord can do! I believe one day you will hear all things wonderful, great and small. I will pray for you - Sue, Proud Member of the Ronda Cousins Mary Kay Rockets - Sobieski WI" - "Wishing you all the best with the surgeries, recover, rehabilitation...If you have an opportunity, grab a sandwich and salad at Pluto's on University Ave (in Palo Alto), it is one of our favorite lunch spots on the west coast.." - Colleen, a classmate of Nate's back at Washington Elementary - New York, New York.   :)
Oh, FUNdraiser correction - they think approximately 650 people may have attended the FUNdraiser 2/19!!! This includes Manny's pediatrician Dr Betsy, Deaf & Hard of Hearing Teacher, Mary Kahler, and School Audiologist, Ms Brenda!
We had our first Good Shepherd 4/1 Benefit meeting last night. Thank you volunteer committee members. This Benefit Dinner and Pie Auction will be from 5-8pm at our church. If anyone wants to make a pie(s), you can drop them off Thursday 9-6 (3/31) or Friday 9-3 (4/1) at GS (go in pre-school doors). Pies non-refrigerated are best - like fruit pies. Can buy or make!! Dinner will include sloppy joes and hot dogs (with other items), pie, etc. Magic by Uncle Bruce Hetzler - 20 minute shows at 6pm and 7:30pm with table walk arounds. Event is free with goodwill donations. Schwanns Foods will have a truck outside on 4/1 and 20% of purchases will go to The Man!!!
