The Thrasher, Cheetos, Bad Guys, Return of Mountain Man

Manny came out of anesthesia similar to how he did the first surgery - not great. He really wanted his ear cup off....he probably cried it 500 times over and over again. But, I knew it was the anesthesia and not really him talking since we had been through it before. It definitely makes for a long 1.5 hours though. By the time we got back to our hotel and he took a little schnoozey, it was over. He woke up "normal" again. I'm so glad Nate is here with me because it is stressful and we need to tag-team the thrasher. When Manny was winding down, Eli says to me "Mom, what compliment can I give him to make him feel better? Should I say "Your ears look great? You can hear really well?...I'm not sure what to say" and before I could answer he says "Manny, you're such a Big Boy!". It was very cute.

He was starving after surgery and they suggest you stick to a bland diet. Manny wanted cheetos, 7 up and McDonalds so that is what he got and he did fine. I think he is catching on quickly that on surgery day, we'll let him pack garbage into him and do whatever he wants :) Manny and Eli sat in bed, eating Cheetos and watching Dophin Tale. I also crawled in bed with them and I didn't move for 3 hours. I didn't sleep but I literally could not move a muscle. To say I haven't been on more than 3 hours of sleep a night for a week would be an understatement. I remember looking at him, smiling, and then he begins to rub MY back and take care of me.

We decided to get some fresh air and go to Target at night when Manny was feeling better to use some Christmas giftcards. Manny and Eli both got a little toy and then they played "bad guys" on the hotel floor. It's so great that Eli is out here with Manny so they can play normal boy stuff together.

I slept pretty good last night until I woke up at 5am as I had a nightmare of the Mountain Man holding me hostage in a treehouse. LOL.
