Well, today I just put down the second payment for this first surgery - a mere $40,000. Ouch! Thank you all so much for your support and donations because we actually had this in Manny's bank account - WOW!! Amazing. The good news is that I used Manny's new debit card from ANB - so hopefully, I will earn a free flight for the next round of surgeries :) What a bargain.
Today starts the Washington Elementary Teach Me How To Manny Pencil Sale. Eli got to make posters last night - he was so excited. On his poster was "Manny: M:Musical, A:Awesome, N:Nice, N:Needs Ears, Y: Yellow is his favorite color."  He and his cousins, with friends, will be selling red pencils for $1.00 after school. Yesterday, I was able to witness cousin Sam and his friend Connor do an announcement for it over the PA. These 5th graders were both shaking with nerves...sorry boys, but it was hilarious.
Tonight we get to go to the Firchow house to deliver our 3rd Grade Positively Hoops dinner (they bid on it at the silent auction). They have also invited the team and parents over for dinner too. That turned out to be a great deal for all of us :)
I would also like to thank Steve Herrmann and Presto Plastics for the delivery of countless green gift boxes filled with baggies, tupperware, etc - they will be "on sale" at the Good Shepherd benefit this Friday. Steve's granddaughter, Ella (4), is one of Manny's friends and she rocks her stylish pink cochlear implants!
Schwans: We hit the $1000 minimum with Schwan's pre-orders. Now, any orders through Schwans on 4/1 (1-8pm at Good Shepherd) will give 20% back to MannyMan!! Freezer full? No problem, call 1-888-Schwans and order a gift certificate to use whenever - just use code #33844 to give credit to Manny.
Finally, I received an adorable card yesterday and generous donation from my good friend, Natalie's, good friend Heather! With a sparkly fairy godmother on it -it reads "If I could, I'd find a fairy godmother, with a magical wand and combat boots so that she could grant you your wishes and kick the crap outta anything that tried to get in the way of your happiness" LOVE IT!
Thank you for your donations: C Wetzel, J/H Andrews, S Watcher
